Lake Joseph Estates is a small lakeside community of private homes straddling the towns of Forestburgh and Thompson in Sullivan Country, NY.  Created in the late 1980s, it sits on the grounds of the former Camp St. Joseph, a summer camp for boys and girls, operated by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York from 1920-70. Our 250 acre estate includes a pristine lake and miles of wooded trails, a pool, tennis court, and even a B&B, the highly-rated Inn at Lake Joseph, which was once the Cardinal's residence.

All property owners automatically become members of the Lake Joseph Homeowner Association. They are expected to abide by the Association policies and bylaws and to pay annual dues towards the maintenance of the common areas.

The Homeowner Association is managed by a board of five directors who are elected in rotation to three year terms. Elections are traditionally held at the Annual Meeting during the July 4th weekend.

The HOA Board Directors are:

  • Ihor Mandicz (President)
  • T J Chin (Security)
  • Bill Olshan
  • Sheldon Pasternak
  • Laura Smiros

Ru Weinger is the HOA treasurer.

Lindsey Veety is the HOA secretary.
